Crafted from a vintage Belgium blanket in a between orange and pink hues this unique coat combines timeless style with cozy comfort. Thoughtful details include:

  • Waist belt reworked and using the original blanket trim

  • Stand-up collar for extra warmth , with cotton lining in the area is touched to your neck

  • Roomy drop-shoulder sleeves for a relaxed fit

  • Large patch pockets with beige trim from the blanket

  • Curated vintage buttons for closure

  • Fully lined with beige cotton fabric (deadstock)

Details:

  • Color: Muted Peach / Dark beige lining 

  • Composition: 100% Recycled  Belgium sheep Wool, Lining in Cotton

  • Button closure: 5 beautiful buttons (each in cream brown)

  • Velvet Hanger Loop

Tailored techniques

  • Fusing sensitive areas: Reinforces the wool fabric for enhanced durability.(shoulders, fronts and collars etc)

  • Precision cutting: Maximizes the blanket's patterns, textures, and details (trims or special characteristics).

  • Hand finishing: Pockets, lining, buttons and button holes or loops, and trims are all meticulously crafted.

  • Unique Patterns: Each blanket coat has its own design, so you'll see slight variations in length or pockets sizes belts and collars across coats of the same size.

Each vintage textile is pre-washed before deconstruction. Due to its pre-loved nature, slight imperfections or color variations may occur, making each piece unique. If you're not familiar with the charm and imperfections of vintage textiles, this collection may not be the best fit for you.

The unique story behind your coat:

This beautiful one tone light apricot color vinatge blanket, made in France, arrived at our studio on September 27, 2024, from Ms. Lieve’s cozy home in Borgerhout, Antwerp, Belgium.(same owner as our Mint Coat)

After a careful wash, work began between October 23 and 24, 2024, transforming the blanket into this one-of-a-kind jacket during 25th. Final touches, including the attachment of vintage buttons, were completed by November 3, 2024, with a small photoshoot capturing its flow and beauty.

Now, this jacket carries around 20+ years of warmth and creativity. Crafted by Katerina, who hand-mended, designed, and cut the blanket, and sewed the jacket button holes are added by Yasar in our partner atelier. Katerina personally hand-sewed the buttons, finishing the piece with precision and care.

This jacket is a wearable work of art, crafted to stand out with its originality and built to last. It's the result of skilled hands and thoughtful craftsmanship. Wear it with pride and joy, knowing it’s made to be cherished — and one day, passed on as a true treasure.
