From Table to Wardrobe | 100% One-of-a-Kind | Upcycled & Handcrafted in Amsterdam
This was our first round at studio trying to dye a few vintage tablecloths, those with imperfections. This one started as a soft pink and white background, with little traces from all the meals and moments it once hosted. After some testing, adjustments, and a bit of holding my breath, it turned into this rich espresso brown. The jacquard pattern quietly stayed with me through the process and now sits beautifully under its new color.
The relaxed barrel shape gives the pants an easy, sculptural fit, finished with a semi-elastic waistband, deep pockets, and artisanal inserts that make each side different from the other.
A small handmade vintage doily was added as a textural detail on one leg, creating a soft contrast while honoring handcraft traditions. Judging by its jacquard motifs, the original tablecloth likely dates back to the 1960s–70s. Now: a true brown beauty.
The M version pant features:
Slightly barrel-leg cut, not suitable for tailoring, as we didn’t want to lose the beautiful doily detail at the hem
Semi-elastic waistband (mostly in the back and partially in the front) with a drawstring made from the tablecloth’s raw edges
High or mid-rise fit, adjust it to your preference (or your shoes!)
The pleats in the front prevent a bulky front
Two large back patch pockets and two deep side-front pockets
The seams are clean inside with topstitching
100% vintage woven cotton with jacquard motifs
Dying in our Amsterdam studio and slowly handcrafted by Kat and Yasar.
This is a one-off piece, it exists only once.
Why it’s perfect for you:
Truly one of a kind — You’ll be the only one wearing it
Thoughtful Upcycling — Even if we made two pairs of pants from the same tablecloth, we tried our best to make them different. Each pair is unique.
Pure materials — Made from 100% vintage woven cotton and handcrafted crocket type doilie.
Better for the planet — No new materials used
Made with heart — We took pride in making this piece slowly and carefully
Your support matters — By choosing this pant, you help us continue our journey of making meaningful, responsible designs
We think it pairs beautifully with our Aquilegia Shirt , but that’s entirely up to you. The shirt is sold separately to create your own unique two-piece set.
Care Instructions:
We recommend gentle care* due to dying : wash at low temperatures max 30 with mild detergent, avoid direct sunlight, and iron inside out to keep the color rich and the fabric happy.
*For the first wash, color may bleed. Wash separately or with similar colors.

• Up to 102 cm (ideal fit)*
Model is 170 cm tall with bust 86 cm, waist 77 cm, hips 95 cm.
All measurements taken flat (cm). Multiply by 2 for full circumference:

Inseam length: 64 cm
Total length (waist to hem): 92 cm
Front Rise: 35,5cm
Back Rise: 44,5 cm
2 Back pockets: 19 × 16 cm
Important note: How to Select Your Size:
Because the pants have an elastic waist with no front closure, we recommend using your hip measurement to select the best fit.
👉 To ensure comfort and proper drape:
Your hips should be equal to or up to 2 cm smaller than the fully stretched waist measurement of the pants.
For example:
• If the stretched waist of the pants is 100 cm → ideal for hips up to 98 cm or equal.
• If the stretched waist of the pants is 92 cm → ideal for hips up to 90 cm or equal.
This allows for comfortable movement without pulling across the hips.

A little backstory
This pants began its life as a cotton woven tablecloth made in France in white color and pink borders. We added it to our collection three summers ago and have been waiting for the right moment to use it. Due to its rarity, we made it available as a made-to-order item for shorts in the past.
This spring, we finally felt ready to give it a second life. We dyed it in espresso brown color and transformed it into an easy fit pant that you can wear every day with your favorite tops, white shirts, cardigan , sandals, or even ballerinas.
We love the new color more!! the softness against the skin, the subtle fade jacquards motifs ,and how this piece carries something from the past into the present.
About the Making
Each Pants in the From Table to Treasure collection takes between 5.5 to 9,5 hours to complete.
• 2 to 3 hours go into gentle washing, on-spot cleaning, Dying or mending as needed.
• 2.5 to 4 hours are spent cutting and carefully placing each element to highlight the original details.
• 1.7 to 2.2 hours for machine sewing and seam finishing, attached elastic and ties .
Where and How It’s Made
Each piece is made either in our own studio or together with our trusted partner family atelier, just a short bike ride away, right here in Amsterdam. Nothing is outsourced. It’s just us, our hands, and a deep respect for the materials we work with.
A Note on Vintage Textiles
All textiles are pre-washed before we begin any transformation process. Because we work with pre-loved vintage fabrics, minor imperfections may be present — part of the story and character of each piece.
Please note: colors may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to natural lighting and different screens. We do our best to show the true feel of the garment. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Reworked vintage pieces are final sale.
If you'd like more info or extra photos before purchasing, don’t hesitate to email us at info@fitolcollections.com.
You can pre-order your own one-of-a-kind shirt or top, made from carefully selected vintage or pre-loved textiles.
If you love the design, but the piece is sold out, we can create a custom version just for you. While we don’t work with the exact same fabric twice, we can find something beautiful together that suits your style.
Please allow 1–2 weeks for production, and 2–4 weeks for shipping.
