From Blanket To Beauty : A Thoughtfully Transformation

This 3-in-1 Bomber Blazer Coat is designed for warmth, comfort, and year-round layering. Made from vintage mint-green Belgian Sole Mio blankets, each piece is soft, fluffy, and naturally insulating. The original velvet edging is carefully removed and hand-applied throughout the design, creating three styling options in one coat.

Here’s what makes this coat feel special:

  • Boxy and Playful Style: The original velvet edges are kept on the inside, pockets, and front closure, preserving the character of the blanket.

  • Soft convertible Collar, Cozy Pockets: The collar features a contrast corduroy facing and can be worn up for structure or folded down into a small lapel. The generously sized side pockets keep your hands warm and offer space for little treasures. The brown corduroy adds a balanced, thoughtful contrast.

  • Beautiful Wood Buttons: Each wood button was chosen individually to complement the velvet edges and add a warm, natural touch.

  • Roomy, Relaxed Fit: Drop-shoulder sleeves give an oversized feel without adding bulk.

  • Bomber style Finish: An adjustable drawcord hem lets you create that classic bomber shape whenever you want.

  • Durability: Made from vintage wool, each coat carries its own story—and becomes part of yours.

Each coat is individually cut, hand-finished, and sewn in an Amsterdam studio. Focus is placed on comfort, durability, and a sculptural, easy-to-wear silhouette.

Oversized fit in two sizes:

  • Size 1 comfortably fits XS to M.

  • Size 2 fits M to XL.
    Ideal for heights between 163 and 177+ cm. Sleeve length increases naturally with height, please check the measurements to find your best fit.

Pair it with turtlenecks, sweaters, dresses, or skirts for an easy statement look. It transitions well from the office to evening plans or a weekend getaway. On colder days, it layers beautifully with an extra-warm piece underneath.

This bomber takes over 15+ hours to create, from selecting the perfect vintage blanket, washing and mending to tailoring it into a wearable masterpiece.

Made to Last

To preserve the beauty of your jacket, dry clean or gently hand wash at a maximum of 20°C. Iron on low heat. Dry clean or gently hand wash at 20°C.

  • Composition: 100% Recycled Wool

  • Button Closure: 4 Vintage Buttons + velvet loops

Techniques

  • Precision Cutting: Maximizes the blanket's patterns, textures, and details(trims or special characteristics).

  • Working with original Trims: When possible, we incorporate the original trims of the blankets into the design. While we do our best to avoid signs of wear or flaws, these elements are sometimes an inseparable part of the blanket’s story. If you're not familiar with the charm and imperfections of vintage textiles, this collection may not be the best fit for you.

  • Hand Finishing: Pockets, buttons and button holes or loops, and trims are all meticulously crafted.

  • Unique Patterns: Each blanket coat has its own design, so you'll see slight variations in length or pockets sizes belts and collars across coats of the same size

This piece was entirely designed and tailored in our new Amsterdam studio, you are every time welcome to see the process live :)

Each vintage textile is pre-washed before deconstruction. Due to its pre-loved nature, slight imperfections or color variations may occur, making each piece unique. If you're not familiar with the charm and imperfections of vintage textiles, this collection may not be the best fit for you.

We want you to love your Fitol Collection piece. While returns are accepted within 5 working days of delivery, we also offer exchanges for another design of similar value (±10%) or a made-to-order piece crafted from our available materials.
