The full Journey behind your coat:
This cholocate brown-toned 1980s–90s SOLEMIO Belgian blanket handpicked and dropped off at our studio on October 17, 2023, from Ms. Ireen’s home in Amsterdam.
After a careful wash, the transformation began on October 9–10, 2024, with meticulous cutting and fabric reinforcement. By October 11–12, the sewing process was underway, shaping the blanket into this one-of-a-kind long coat. Final touches, including lining finished edges and hand sewed buttons, were completed by October 30, 2024.
This coat carries over 30 years of warmth and history. Designed, cut, and sewn by Katerina, every detail has been crafted with care from the hand-mended fabric to the hand-sewn buttonholes and buttons.
This coat is incredibly warm and made for the coldest days. It’s like wearing a full blanket—ready to wrap you in comfort, but now designed to be worn. Unique and thoughtfully crafted over 30 hours, it’s truly one of a kind. Cherish it, and perhaps one day, pass it on as a treasured heirloom..
