From Blanket to Beauty: A Thoughtful Transformation

Meet our Lisa Stripes Reversible Sleeping Bag Jacket. A one-of-a-kind jacket handcrafted from a vintage 1980s sleeping bag blanket. This reversible design offers two distinct looks: a multicolored striped side (blue, light pink, green) and a deep green side.

Original black trim, zipper, and handwritten “Lisa” details are thoughtfully preserved, adding character and authenticity. The unbalanced length and curved sides are beautiful added details.

Behind the Craft: The Making of the LISA STRIPES one-off Jacket

The Story Behind Your Jacket

This stunning two-sided sleeping bag blanket found its way to our collection in 2022. After a careful wash, the transformation began on February 1st and 7rh, 2025, with design, cutting, and pocket placement. Yasar later assisted with finishing the trims on the reverse side. Final touches, including trims , were completed by February 9th, followed by a photoshoot.

Now, this jacket carries over 40 years of warmth and creativity. Designed and crafted by Katerina, with trims thoughtfully incorporated by Yasar in our partner atelier, every button was hand-sewn to ensure a perfect finish.

How It’s Made

Each piece takes over 18 hours to create, involving:

• Handcrafted from Start to Finish: Every step from fabric preparation, washing and cutting to sewing and hand-finishing—requires time, skill, and attention to detail.

• Preserving the Original Elements: The blanket’s original zipper, trims, and unique texture are thoughtfully incorporated into the design.

• No Two Are Alike: The nature of vintage materials means every jacket has its own variations, making each one truly unique.
