Our Mandarina Fringe Shirt S – From Table to Wardrobe
From Table to Wardrobe | 100% Upcycled Vintage Linen | Made in Amsterdam
This shirt is made from a bright orange, vintage embroidered cotton tablecloth from the 1970s, sourced from Ms. Maria’s home in Greece. The detailed floral motifs and the way they were originally placed made it impossible to walk away. While the tablecloth was large, it only gave us just enough fabric for a small size shirt.
We kept the original floral embroidery and the fringes, staying true to the fabric’s character, and shaped it into a relaxed piece with white fringes at the sleeves and hem.
The cotton is strong, the orange color bold and warm. The shirt is one of a kind, cut and sewn in our Amsterdam studio. Finished with a single pocket and mother of pearl buttons, a special gift to us by our partner Yasar for this collection.

French seams throughout for a clean and durable finish

Designed as Size S fits best on sizes XS to a small M, depending on your desired fit.
On XS/S body types, it will have an relaxed feel like in the model.
For S/M bodies, it will be more fitted.
Model is 170 cm tall with bust 86 cm, waist 77 cm, hips 95 cm. She wears a size S, and the shirts fits her slightly relaxed.
All measurements taken flat (cm). Double for full circumference:
Bust (pit to pit): 56 cm (→ 112 cm total)
Waist: 52 cm
Length: 55 cm (measured from shoulder, inc. fringes)
Sleeve length: 33 cm (from shoulder end of fringes)
Arm opening: 17 cm (→ 34 cm circ.)
Shoulder to shoulder: 44 cm
pocket : 15× 16 cm
We recommend this piece for bust sizes up to 93 cm for comfort and ease of movement.

A little backstory
The Mandarin shirt began its journey as an embroidered cotton tablecloth, beautifully crafted in Greece during the 1970s and handpicked from Mr. Maria’s home. We added it to our collection last Christmas when we visited our family in Greece.
This spring, we finally decided to give it a second life. We transformed it into an easy, bright, summery shirt that you can wear every day with your favorite pants, skirts, shorts, sandals, or even ballerina flats.
We love how soft it feels against the skin, its bright, floral embroidery pattern, and its white fringe details. We also love how this piece brings something from the past into the present.
About the Making
Each shirt / top in the From Table to Treasure collection takes between 5.5 to 8 hours to complete.
• 1 to 2 hours go into gentle washing, on-spot cleaning, or mending as needed.
• 1 to 3 hours are spent cutting and carefully placing each element to highlight the original details.
• 1.5 to 2 hours for machine sewing and seam finishing.
• 1 hour for hand-sewing buttons and final touches.
Where and How It’s Made
Each piece is made either in our own studio or together with our trusted partner family atelier, just a short bike ride away, right here in Amsterdam. Nothing is outsourced. It’s just us, our hands, and a deep respect for the materials we work with.
A Note on Vintage Textiles
All textiles are pre-washed before we begin any transformation process. Because we work with pre-loved vintage fabrics, minor imperfections may be present — part of the story and character of each piece.
Please note: colors may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to natural lighting and different screens. We do our best to show the true feel of the garment. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Reworked vintage pieces are final sale.
