This shirt is made from a vintage French madeClairdecor tablecloth with its napkin set, sourced in France a few years ago. The soft pink gingham pattern is scattered with tiny rose bouquets, bringing a delicate and cheerful mood. We carefully reimagined the original table setting: the white fringes from the tablecloth have been used to trim the hem and the front button closure, while the sleeves were cut and shaped from matching napkins belonging to the original set.
The result is a lightweight, breathable shirt with playful vintage character, full of small details that honor the fabric’s first life.

Mother-of-pearl buttons (4 + 1 spare inside)
French seams throughout for a clean and durable finish

Model is 170 cm tall with bust 86 cm, waist 77 cm, hips 95 cm. She wears a size S, and the shirts fits her slightly relaxed.
All measurements taken flat (cm). Double for full circumference:

Length: 54 cm (measured from shoulder, inc. fringes)

A little backstory
The Claire shirt began its journey as an machine embroidered cotton tablecloth, made in France during 90’s. We had this set to our collectio years now.
This spring, we finally decided to give it a second life. We transformed it into an easy, bright, summery shirt that you can wear every day with your favorite pants, skirts, shorts, sandals, or even ballerina flats.
We love how soft it feels against the skin, its soft pink, floral embroidery pattern, and its white fringe details. We also love how this piece brings something from the past into the present.
About the Making
Each shirt / top in the From Table to Treasure collection takes between 5.5 to 8 hours to complete.
• 1 to 2 hours go into gentle washing, on-spot cleaning, or mending as needed.
• 1 to 3 hours are spent cutting and carefully placing each element to highlight the original details.
• 1.5 to 2 hours for machine sewing and seam finishing.
• 1 hour for hand-sewing buttons and final touches.
Where and How It’s Made
Each piece is made either in our own studio or together with our trusted partner family atelier, just a short bike ride away, right here in Amsterdam. Nothing is outsourced. It’s just us, our hands, and a deep respect for the materials we work with.
A Note on Vintage Textiles
All textiles are pre-washed before we begin any transformation process. Because we work with pre-loved vintage fabrics, minor imperfections may be present — part of the story and character of each piece.
Please note: colors may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to natural lighting and different screens. We do our best to show the true feel of the garment. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Reworked vintage pieces are final sale.
