Meet our Synth Stripes Reversible Jacket. A one-of-a-kind jacket crafted from a rare 1980s cotton sleeping bag blanket. Fully reversible, featuring bold multicolored stripes with dark grey sleeves on one side, and a deep grey main body with striped sleeves on the reverse. Original black trim, button loops, and the double-sided zipper are thoughtfully preserved.

Behind the Craft: The Making of the SYNTH STRIPES one-off Jacket

The Story Behind Your Jacket

This stunning two-sided sleeping bag blanket found its way to our collection in 2022. After careful washing, its transformation began on February 5th, 2025, with design, cutting, and pocket placement. Yasar later assisted with finishing the trims on the reverse side, and the final hand-sewn buttons were added by February 19th, followed by a photoshoot.

Now, this jacket carries over 40 years of warmth and creativity. Thoughtfully designed by Katerina and finished in collaboration with Yasar, each detail preserves the blanket’s original charm while ensuring long-lasting craftsmanship.

How It’s Made

Each piece takes over 16 hours to create, involving:

• Handcrafted from Start to Finish: Every step from fabric preparation, washing and cutting to sewing and hand-finishing—requires time, skill, and attention to detail.

• Preserving the Original Elements: The blanket’s original zipper, trims, and unique texture are thoughtfully incorporated into the design.

• No Two Are Alike: The nature of vintage materials means every jacket has its own variations, making each one truly unique.
