This two-piece set began as a vintage checkered cotton tablecloth, now reimagined into a shirt and pants designed to move effortlessly with the body.

The fabric drapes naturally, creating a relaxed silhouette from top to bottom.

No second set exists.

Story: Carefully cut to preserve the original check pattern, the design keeps the rhythm of the textile intact.

The pants are constructed without side seams, allowing the checks to flow continuously along the leg, just as they did in the original cloth.

The result is a set that feels both structured and effortless, carrying the material’s past into everyday wear.

  • Half-elastic waistband with red cotton drawstring

  • High or mid-rise fit

  • Front pleats for a clean shape

  • One back patch pocket + one side pocket

  • Adjustable hem (+/- 2.5–3 cm) after request.

Best fits small M to L depending on desired fit

Pants: recommended for hips up to 104 cm

Important:

Use your hip measurement.

Hips should be slightly smaller than the fully stretched waist.

Model is 170 cm tall with bust 86 cm, waist 77 cm, hips 95 cm.

All measurements taken flat (cm). Multiply by 2 for full circumference:

Pants :

  • Waist (unstretched): 40 cm → total 80cm

  • Waist (fully stretched): 52 cm → total 104cm

A little backstory

This set started out as a soft, beautiful woven tablecloth with small coloroful checks that we select from Italy a few years ago.

This spring(2025), we transformed it into an easy, breathable set for spring and summer that you can wear every day with your favorite shoes, sandals, or even ballerinas. It's easy to wear separately or as a set! We spent enough time making it easy to wear together!

We love how soft it is against the skin and how it carries something from the past into the present.

About the Making

Each pair of pants or shirt in the From Table to Wardrobe collection takes between 5.5 and 8.5 hours to complete. It takes almost twice as long to make a complete set.

• 1 to 2hours go into gentle washing, on-spot cleaning, or mending as needed.

• 2.5 to 4 hours are spent cutting and carefully placing each element to highlight the original details.

• 1.7 to 2.2 hours for machine sewing and seam finishing, attached elastic and ties .

Every step is done slowly, with attention to the material and its story.

  • *Hand work and Hand sewing is involved at every stage of the production process.

Where and How It’s Made

Each piece is made either in our own studio or together with our trusted partner family atelier, just a short bike ride away, right here in Amsterdam. Nothing is outsourced. It’s just us, our hands, and a deep respect for the materials we work with.

A Note on Vintage Textiles

All textiles are pre-washed before we begin any transformation process. Because we work with pre-loved vintage fabrics, minor imperfections may be present — part of the story and character of each piece.

Please note: colors may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to natural lighting and different screens. We do our best to show the true feel of the garment. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

  • Reworked vintage pieces are final sale.
