This two-piece set began as an unused vintage cotton bedding set from France, preserved in its original box from Gérardmer.

Now reimagined into a shirt and pants designed for ease, softness, and everyday wear.

No second set exists.

Though never used, the textile carried time within it, still folded with its original labels and markings.

The pants were cut from the pillowcase, keeping the original opening as the hem, while delicate embroidered edges remain visible.

The fabric feels slightly crisp yet soft, creating a breathable structure that moves naturally with the body.

For example:

• If the stretched waist of the pants is 100 cm → ideal for hips up to 98 cm.

• If the stretched waist of the pants is 92 cm → ideal for hips up to 90 cm.

This allows for comfortable movement without pulling across the hips.

A little backstory

This set started out as a soft, beautiful, vintage set of sheets and a long, vintage-style pillowcase cover that we collected from France a few years ago. You can see the original box with all the details, from the stickers to the lavender bag and embroidery that were included. We couldn't remove the glue stains that appeared in some spots underneath the fabric, but we love it; it's part of the story and we try our best not include those areas into the final designs. A skirt made from the remaining sheet is on the way.

This spring (2025) , we transformed it into an easy, breathable set for spring and summer that you can wear every day with your favorite shoes, sandals, or even ballerinas. It's easy to wear separately or as a set! We spent enough time making it easy to wear together!

We love how soft it is against the skin and how it carries something from the past into the present.

About the Making

Each pair of pants or shirt in the Linen Pieces collection takes between 5.5 and 10.5 hours to complete. It takes almost twice as long to make a complete set.

  • 2–3 hours: washing, spot cleaning, dyeing, and mending

  • 2.5–4 hours: cutting and placement to preserve original details

  • 1.7–3.5 hours: sewing, finishing, and assembling

Every step is done slowly, with attention to the material and its story.

  • *Hand work and Hand sewing is involved at every stage of the production process.

Where and How It’s Made

Each piece is made either in our own studio or together with our trusted partner family atelier, just a short bike ride away, right here in Amsterdam. Nothing is outsourced. It’s just us, our hands, and a deep respect for the materials we work with.

A Note on Vintage Textiles

All textiles are pre-washed before we begin any transformation process. Because we work with pre-loved vintage fabrics, minor imperfections may be present — part of the story and character of each piece.

Please note: colors may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to natural lighting and different screens. We do our best to show the true feel of the garment. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

  • Reworked vintage pieces are final sale.
