Our Aegean Stipe tablecloth Pant S – From Table to Wardrobe

The Story

These wide-leg pants were carefully made from a rare vintage French woven cotton tablecloth, estimated from the 1960s–1980s. It features a soft turquoise background with woven black-and-white stripes and faint red, emerald, and yellow woven borders.

It's a true beauty! If you scroll down a bit in the photos, you will see the premium-quality pattern that features a dobby weave with small diamond patterns and bold woven stripes. (Not printed.)

For this pair, we followed the original pattern layout of the tablecloth, cutting each piece thoughtfully to preserve the stripe placement.

The design eliminates side seams entirely — using only inseams — so the stripes run continuously along the leg, as they did in the original tablecloth. This allows the full beauty of the vintage textile to remain visible.

The S version pant features:

• Slightly Wide-leg cut - and can be tailored to your desired length. Send us an email, or make it with your local tailor

• Half Elastic waistband mostly on the back and part of front with drawstring made from the same raw edges of the tablecloth. You can easily adjust the waist fit.

• High or Mid waist design according to your personal preference- or your shoes!

• The pleats in the front prevent a bulky front

• Two large back patch pockets

• No side seams — only inseam construction

• The seams are clean inside with topstitching

• 100% vintage woven cotton

• Hem can be adjusted for shorter / Longer fit. (+- 2,5 to 3 cm)

Care Instructions:

Machine or hand wash max 30°C using a gentle detergent. Iron on low with protection.

Fit & Measurements

Designed as a S — it fits best on sizes XS to S , depending on your desired fit.

S size Recommended for hip sizes:

• Up to 94 cm (ideal fit)*

Model is 170 cm tall with bust 86 cm, waist 77 cm, hips 95 cm. She wears a size S.

All measurements taken flat (cm). Multiply by 2 for full circumference:

• Waist (unstretched): 35 cm → total 70 cm

• Waist (fully stretched): 47 cm → total 94 cm

• Hip: 52 cm → total 104 cm

• Inseam length: 67 cm

• Total length (waist to hem): 98 cm

• Front Rise: 25cm

• Back Rise: 44cm

• 2 Back pockets: 18 × 16 cm

Important note: How to Select Your Size:

Because the pants have an elastic waist with no front closure, we recommend using your hip measurement to select the best fit.

👉 To ensure comfort and proper drape:

Your hips should be equal to or up to 2-3 cm smaller than the fully stretched waist measurement of the pants.

For example:

• If the stretched waist of the pants is 100 cm → ideal for hips up to 98 cm.

• If the stretched waist of the pants is 92 cm → ideal for hips up to 90 cm.

This allows for comfortable movement without pulling across the hips.
