Each piece tells its own story. We respect the original details of the blanket (such as the all-round trims) and seamlessly incorporate them into the final design, preserving the essence and warmth of the blanket used.

The "Deep Chestnut BROWN" Jacket - Coat is made from a vintage 70’s blanket 100% pure virgin wool from Wijk Leiden brand (Dutch wool)

Colour: Deep chestnut is a dark, cool shade of brown with a red and rich chocolate- brown hue.

This jacket offers versatility with its collarless small round neck and dropped shoulders with roomy sleeves and two front patch pockets with the beautiful hand finished blanket edging as a cute detail. We use a beautiful striped coloured viscose lining to give a pop of colour! the sleeves are lined by a suede brown fabric. The front closure is slightly rounded at the bottom.

The button loops are made from the same blanket and are a little large compared to our other designs as the blanket is really thick. A hanger blanket loop on the back completes the design. We have chosen vintage style buttons in brown with gold detailing to add a luxurious touch to the overall design.

The unique story behind your coat:

“I found this beautiful thick woollen brown blanket online from a small town in Zeeland, Oost Suburg, in a cute online shop owned by Oscar. He mainly sells a variety of antique and vintage items.

The blanket, now a cosy and warm jacket, tells a story about running a small business and supporting each other.

It's like wearing our journey together - born out of love and keeping the luxury for the past. The label was in a good condition, so I kept it on the back with a few hand stitches in red!

 Raw material costs around 115 euros.

Crafted by Katerina, who mended, and hand washed the blanket, designed the pattern, deconstructed trims , and cut the material. Sewn by Katerina in our partner’s atelier, and the button loops were hand-sewn by Katerina herself.

Made to Last Tip: Maintain the beauty of your investment with dry cleaning or gentle handwashing at a maximum of 20°C, accompanied by low-temperature ironing.

Styling Tip: The coat is a Medium fit, so if you like oversized fits, it is best to layer turtlenecks or thin blouses underneath. Wear it with skirts or jeans and brightly coloured tights or socks.

From Upcycled Collection : The “Brown Coffee” *wool blanket as raw material.

*100% wool blanket: “Not all wool can be called “pure new wool”. Only the directly processed, first shearing of healthy living sheep receives this name. Unlike regular wool, the fibers have a natural shine. Pure new wool is a wonderful product. Comfortable; on the one hand it maintains body temperature and on the other hand it is permeable to moisture. It regulates the ambient temperature. Environmentally friendly; it is biodegradable and it is a raw material that grows again in nature. Safe; it is flame retardant, antistatic and does not dry out. Durable; it lasts a long time while maintaining its appearance.”
