The unique story behind your coat:
I bought this rare 70's/80's double-sided woollen blanket online from the town of Uitgeest in North Holland. The owner, Janet, found this blanket on a trip to France a decade ago. I got a nice message from her - "have fun with the blanket"!
I had fun cutting this blanket and kept the beautiful rich velvet trimmings which I use again to make those unique finishes all around the new born coat.
I love all shades of blue, but those two blue top the list :)🧿🌀
Raw material costs around 97 euros.
Crafted by Katerina, who mended, and hand washed the blanket, designed the pattern, deconstructed trims , and cut the material. Sewn by Yasar in our partner’s atelier, and the button loops were hand-sewn by Katerina herself.
We hope you find this story intriguing and enriching. Wrap yourself in warmth and comfort around the clock as the raw fabric has a rich history of over 40 years.
Wear it with joy for years to come and then add your story to it and give it to your loved ones.”

From Upcycled Collection : The “Blues ” *wool blanket as raw material and process
*100% wool blanket: “Not all wool can be called “pure new wool”. Only the directly processed, first shearing of healthy living sheep receives this name. Unlike regular wool, the fibers have a natural shine. Pure new wool is a wonderful product. Comfortable; on the one hand it maintains body temperature and on the other hand it is permeable to moisture. It regulates the ambient temperature. Environmentally friendly; it is biodegradable and it is a raw material that grows again in nature. Safe; it is flame retardant, antistatic and does not dry out. Durable; it lasts a long time while maintaining its appearance.”
